Interstate 'duties' at Aussie Nash Hash  had occupied quite a few regulars, but a lucky thirteen POSH hashers still braved the autumn chill out in cultural hotspot of Moonah.

After gathering at Cooleys Hotel for a few pre-dinner drinks, the pack followed trail to Valern Bottleshop, where hares Jim Beam and Didn't Do It let it be known that the venue was BYO.  With an esky and ice on hand (or in truck, as was the case), purchases were stowed away before following trail to The Mustard Pot for another tipple.

The chosen dining establishment is Hobart's best kept secret - the Kawasemi Japanese Teahouse in Dickensons Arcade.  There were plenty of 'ooh's and 'aah's as hashers tucked into their meals; three courses for just $30!

POSH hashers raised a glass in memory of Hop Sing, who was a frequent attendee and always looked appropriately dapper.

Stroll 134 report

POSH hare Just Once had spent much of the day trying to sort out the night's venue, but was all business when POSHers arrived at Hadleys Hotel.  With live music and canapes, the evening got off to a good start for the 23 starters.

The POSH pack was herded out at the stroke of 7:30 and followed trail down to the Central for a quick refresh before arriving at Sapa Rose in Harrington Street.

Wisely, the hare opted for the banquet option and thereby saved a long wait while people made up their mind about what to order (not to mention avoiding the usual bun fight over the bill at the end of the night).  The soup seemed to take longer than it should have, but was worth the wait.  This was followed by spring rolls (wrapped at the table in lettuce and Vietnamese mint) and a beef salad.  The three main courses followed quickly and everyone soon had their fill.  To end, banana fritters or coffee/tea.

Amid a cacophony of tinkling glasses, GM Morticia got up and welcomed all, thanked the hare and named third-time POSH Stroller Heather, Just Cum.

Dodi made a surprise inspection visit and as the night drew to a close the POSH Hash song was completely butchered.

Hare Just Once declared that she was never setting another POSH Hash as she had never before gone home sober!

The second stroll of the new POSH year saw a select band of POSHers gather at the Brunswick, with Wee Bev and Herr Flick making a rare appearance, but where was GM Morticia?

Hare Grizzly was given chalk duties and the pack was led up Liverpool and Criterion Streets to a second drink at a bustling New Sydney, now joined by a late GM and Hands On, before being led just down the road to Siam Garden.

Meals all seemed to be enjoyed, although Wee Bev caused havok by claiming CC's meal, which resulted in something of a lottery as to which meal you ended up with.

Songwriter Herr Flick supplied a couple of copies of the official POSH ditty, which still got stuffed up.
